    New Updates!

I finally managed to get September photos and videos up. Things are beginning to get VERY busy! We are moving October 30 and time is dwindling fast!

Not much happened in September. Our big trip was at the end of the month. I took both kids to Kentucky to visit Jim's brother and his family. I also ran in a 5k race while I was there. It was a lot of fun. Other than that, we just sort of hung out around the house.

Both kids are doing very well. Mackenzie is crawling around and pulling up. She's even getting really good with cruising around the furniture. She's cut two teeth on the bottom too. Jim and I were talking last night how much she's growing up. Anthony is a spitfire as usual. He's talking, running around, etc. He's such a little boy!

We have a couple of things planned for the month of October besides moving :) So check back for the pics from that.

It's FALL and it's my favorite season! YAY! I'm sure I'll have TONS of pics of the kids.

WOW! Things have definately been going on in this family! Here, I'll attempt to start from the beginning.

In July we took several trips and did several things with the kids. The first of which was the annual July 4th bash at my mom's house. We spent several days there with my brothers having a good time. Then, me and the kids wrote to Birmingham to spend a couple of days with Dixie and the kids while Jim went home.

Anthony had a ball with Hanna and Will. They played a lot together. We also attended a July 4th celebration in Birmingham. There was a kid's carnival and spectacular fireworks. The kids got to have a good time at the pool also. I hated to leave :)

The weekend after that we went to the Atlanta Zoo with my mom and my neices and nephew. Anthony of course loved it! He loves all the animals in the zoo. There is a photo album in the photos section. Check it out!

The following weekend we went to Whitewater in Atlanta. Again, Anthony had a ball. I think Mackenzie really liked the water too. Jim and I got to ride several rides as well. We rented a cabana and it turned out to be a great buy. My mom, stepdad, and Gage joined us there. There is also a photo album in the photo section for this trip. What a blast!

August started off with a bang as well. We spent August 2-6 at my parents' house and August 7-12 at Jim's parents'. Check out the fun pool and beach pics in the photo section.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, both the children have progressed so much! Anthony is speaking very well now. Almost anyone can pretty much understand him. He still has some jumbled words, but for the most part he's pretty clear. His favorite things to do are ride the tractor, four wheeler, and lawn mower with Paw Paw and ride the golf cart and go to the pool at Nana and Pop Pop's. He'll tell you all about them. Anthony is also beginning to potty train. It's hit or miss right now but he is definately beginning to poopy in the potty. Huge deal!

Mackenzie is growing like a weed! She's sitting up on her own now and is probably about 2 days away from crawling. She's rolling around everywhere following me around. She's also very vocal now. No teeth yet, but it's only a matter of time. I think I felt a little ridge coming in on the bottom. She's not really eating solid food yet. She eats the occasional half a jar of food and anything else I give her off my plate though.

It's official! We are moving to Pinehurst NC very soon. Jim has accepted a job there as superintendent of the Dormie Club. It's a new golf course that isn't built yet. Now sure the official move date, but it's very soon!

Well, I think that's it for now. Hope you enjoy the new additions!

Nana and Pop Pop Evans:  We so enjoyed having you guys visit us in Florida. The golf cart is always ready for Anthony whenever he can visit. We miss you already.

I'm finally updating again! I've been feeling bad about this website lately because I feel like all I do is throw up pictures and videos. There's really no explanation at all to them. My friend Bonnie did a great thing and started a Blog. Maybe I should follow in her footsteps. For now, I'm going to add a little detail to the stuff I'm putting up here. Maybe I can work something out a little later when things settle down for us.

I've done something a little different with the photos. I'm putting them in albums by event. If you click on an album, under the title in small font is a description of the types of photos in that album. Also, if you play the slide show of the photos, there will be a writeup of what's going on in the photo or a fun little thing that happened.

I hope you enjoy the photos and the videos I put up here. A lot has been going on. Check out the next journal entry for what's happening.

    Hello All!

Well, I've managed to update again! Check out the new photos and the hilarious video of Anthony. He cracks me up! He's become such a ham. Everytime I pull out the camera, he poses. You'll notice if you check out the photos :)

Mackenzie is getting bigger and bigger. She is incredibly vocal now and it's adorable. She's very sweet too.

I quit my job and April 13 is my last day! I will be pursuing a job as a stay at home mom. (Good luck to me!) :) I'm sort of nervous, but excited at the same time. I hate to leave everyone at my job. I love them all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ANTHONY!!! His birthday was actually March 22 but his party was on March 25. I can't believe he's 2! Time flies. His cousins Gage and Tyler came over. So did his friend Lexi. They all had a ball in the back yard with the bubbles. Anthony and Tyler were like two peas in a pod :) Tyler is only 2 months younger than Anthony and this is really the first time they've had a chance to play together. It was so cute!

Mackenzie slept most of the time during the party. One day she'll be right in the middle of all of them :)

Arlene Evans:  So glad the party went so well and Anthony got a chance to be with his cousins. Thanks for sharing. Wish we could have been with you. Looking forward to seeing you all in May.

Today I took the kids to the doctor and my have they grown! Anthony and Mackenzie both went through a growth spurt just before. Anthony topped out at 30 lbs and 34.5" tall!!! Mackenzie topped out at 12lbs 8oz and 24" long!! They are getting SOOOO big!

Mackenzie had to get shots and Anthony was so cute. She started crying the second they stuck her and Anthony was right there...ever the protective brother. He kept trying to get to her but I had to hold him back so he didn't accidentally get stuck. He did NOT like that :) But I let him love on her afterward and she calmed right down. How sweet!

Arlene Evans:  Wow!! Can't believe how much they have both added on the pounds and grew taller. It is so sweet how Anthony becomes the older...much more experienced and protective big brother. Really enjoyed hearing about the visit with the doctor. Arlene

The kids are doing great. They are both growing by leaps and bounds.

Anthony is progressing very fast. He just went through a huge growth spurt and outgrew all of his clothes. At least he did it toward the end of a season! :) His second birthday is fast approaching and I can't believe it! He's talking a lot more. Some of his newest phrases are "All fall down" and "More milk please" and "No, Dada, bye bye" (When Jim tries to get him to take a shower). The other day he was jumping off the couch onto a pile of pillows and saying "All fall down!" Jim and I just thought it was someting cute he picked up until the next day he was spinning around in circles saying "Ashes, Ashes" So apparently they are teaching him Ring Around the Rosie at daycare. He loves it!

He is also quite the big brother. When Mackenzie cries, he likes to put her pacifier back in her mouth. Also, at the daycare, when all the kids swarm around Mackenzie, he stands there and fends them off like an overprotective big brother. It's absolutely adorable!

Mackenzie also just went through a growth spurt and is now wearing her 3-6 month clothes! She probably weights 13 pounds! She and Anthony have well child visits on the 23rd so we'll see then. She's doing a lot of cute things now. She's started smiling and cooing. Check out the video section to see it! She's also sleeping much longer. We got to bed around 9-10pm and she'll sleep until 3 or 4am! Great for me! :)

Well, I think that's it for now. Feel free to email me or sign the guestbook!

Well, I finally updated the website! I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Things around here have been hectic. Getting used to having two kids instead of one is definately a challenge.

Anthony is getting so advanced. I know I keep saying that but every day there is something new. He's saying more and more and communicating very well. His 2nd birthday is fast approaching and I just can't believe it! It's already been two years! It seems like yesterday I just had him. Sometimes when I look at Mackenzie I feel like I'm holding him when he was a newborn. They look so much alike! I miss those days but he's so much fun right now :)

Mackenzie is of course getting bigger and bigger. She's a lot more alert and loves to watch Mommy and Daddy. Jim's even managed to get a small smile out of her. Most of her cute smiles are inprovoked though....gas I guess :) She's sleeping a lot better as long as she's in the bed with me. At this point, we take what we can get :)

    Until next time....

All is well in the Evans home. Anthony is adjusting and so is Mackenzie. Jim and I are still working on it :) Kids are so resiliant!

Mackenzie is growing like a weed! She's gaining weight and getting bigger. She lost down to 7lbs 13 oz after birth, but on Monday, the doctor said she weights 8lbs even. I'm sure even now she weighs more. She is no longer a wrinkly little newborn. She's often awake and very alert. She looks around and follows Daddy's voice. She's already Daddy's girl.

Anthony is doing very well. His vocabulary is still growing leaps and bounds. He is also progressing well. He's getting so big! Jim and I can't get over how much he's grown lately. He's gotten a lot chubbier, but he's solid as a rock. He's also very tall. I'm curious how much he weighs :) Every morning, Jim takes him to daycare. He refuses to leave unless he's kissed the baby and said "Bye Bye Kenzie!" He loves his little sister.

I'm trying to keep the site updated. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm not always sure what to write in the news section :)

She's here! She's here! Mackenzie is here! She is absolutely beautiful. I've included pictures in the photo section, a few pictures on the front page, and I'm going to attempt to get a short video of her up. Enjoy!

Anthony is doing well with her. He loves his new sister. He kisses her and rubs her head a lot. More to come later!
